Where It Begins

In 2017, my art journey began out of necessity and unexpected opportunity. I found myself sofa surfing with a friend, and without access to my usual outlet of music, I had to find a new way to channel my creativity. My friend's wife lent me some painting materials, and inspired by artists like Matt Gondek and others I discovered on Instagram, I started painting.

At the time, I had no idea what I was doing. I knew what I wanted to create but had no experience with painting, sketching, or any formal artistic techniques. I forced myself to learn as much as possible, as quickly as possible, by studying pieces, listening to podcasts, and diving deep into the art world.

I started participating in group shows as soon as I could, hosted my own events, and networked with local artists. Initially, my work featured standalone cartoon and comic characters with no real substance or additional elements. Over time, my style has evolved to be more intentional and thought-out. I am now experimenting with styles that move away from the super flat cartoon look, infusing more depth and meaning into each piece.

One of my biggest goals at the moment is preparing for my next solo show. I am dedicating a significant amount of time to developing a cohesive theme and meticulously planning each painting. Every experience, every piece, has been a learning opportunity. I've learned how to complete my works more professionally, market my shows better, and continually improve my practice.

As I reflect on my journey from 2017 to now, I see not just growth but a deep determination to push the boundaries of my art. The future is filled with potential, and I am more driven than ever to achieve my artistic goals and leave a lasting impact.
